We have created a question & answer page to help answer any questions you may have, if you do not find the answer to your question then please do contact us.

Q. How long would it take to make my wedding cake?
A. We normally ask customers to order their wedding cake a month before it is required, but if you require a cake in an emergency we would be able to produce a quality cake in about one week.

Q. Do you make both fruit and sponge cakes?
A.
We do make both kinds, a traditional fruit cake and flavored sponge cakes.

Q. Do your wedding cakes contain alcohol?
A.
Yes, our traditional fruit wedding cakes contain Brandy, although our sponge cakes will only contain alcohol if requested by the customer.

Q. Are there nuts or nut based products in your wedding cakes?
A.
Yes, our cakes do contain nuts. Some of our cakes also contain marzipan and this contains almonds. If you have a nut allergy and would like a nut free cake please contact us.

Q. Can you supply a gluten free cake?
A.
Yes we can make you a wedding cake that is free from gluten.

Q. Are the flowers on your wedding cakes real, silk or crafted from icing?
A.
When you have a cake designed by us you will have a choice of flowers. Our customers can have silk, real or sugar based iced flowers.

Q. Do you produce novelty or tailor made wedding cakes?
A.
We are happy to produce a cake with any design, colour or decoration that you desire. If you have not seen the design of cake you require in the gallery then please contact us with your request.

Q. I would like to keep a tier of the cake, but how long would it stay fresh?
A.
Some couples like to keep the top tier of their wedding cake and then cut it when their first child is christened or cut it to celebrate the first wedding anniversary. We recommend that you do not keep a tier of any wedding cake for more than about a year as the cake will start to deteriorate and start to show through the icing. To store your cake properly we recommend keeping it in an air tight container.

Q. How will I get my wedding cake?
A.
If your wedding is local to us we would be happy to deliver your cake and set it up for you at your reception. If you are further away you are invited to collect your cake or we can make arrangements for a specialist courier to deliver the cake to your destination of choice.

Q. How will my wedding cake be packaged?
A.
Your finished wedding cake will be carefully packed within a robust box that is especially designed for use with wedding cakes.

Q. Do you supply stands to display wedding cakes?
A.
We do hire out stands for wedding cakes that we produce. We only charge a small fee, but we do ask for a deposit that is refundable on return of the cake stand. To see our stands please see our gallery, or for more information please do contact us.

Q. How will I pay you, and do you require a deposit?
A.
You can pay us either by cash or cheque, we regret to inform you that we do not accept payment by credit card. We also do require a small deposit from customers before we undertake production of a wedding cake.
